Tipton of the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals in Knoxville. In 2006, she joined the law firm of Summers, Rufolo & Rodgers. She has focused on criminal defense, including federal criminal defense, state criminal defense, and appellate work. She has worked with Mr. Summers on all of his federal cases since joining the firm, as well as many state cases. The majority of her work is in federal criminal defense and appellate work. Marya is from Nashville where she attended Father Ryan High School and Vanderbilt University. She moved to Chattanooga in 2006 to be with her husband, Joe, who grew up in Chattanooga.
