Mr. Haskin graduated from the University of Miami School of Law, where he served as a Vice-President of the Maritime Law Society and was a member of the Public Interest Leadership Board.
While in law school, he clerked for the Honorable Ronald Dresnick of the 11th Judicial Circuit in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and at a local maritime law firm. During his third year, Mr. Haskin was selected to be a founding member of the Larry Hoffman|Greenberg Traurig Startup Practicum. As a member of the Startup Practicum, Mr. Haskin assisted his clients with organizational matters, talent, intellectual property, risk assessment, and other legal issues that arose as they launched or grew their new businesses and organizations.
After law school, Mr. Haskin moved back to the Washington metropolitan area and joined Hughes & Bentzen, PLLC as an Associate. At Hughes & Bentzen, PLLC, he drafted various operating agreements, stockholder agreements, purchase-sale agreements, security agreements, pledge agreements, and promissory notes. He also participated in settlement discussions and arbitration hearings.
