Hired Attorney 2020-2021I am thrilled that Melinda Steuer was able to recover nearly the full amount of a $150,000+ loan that a friend had given to a business, and that was more than 2 years past due. I am convinced that the business did not intend to repay the loan. Ms Steuer was the second lawyer we hired. She listened patiently to all relevant facts and discovered that we had a good securities fraud claim and a life insurance fraud claim, as well as a claim for breach of contract. She filed a lawsuit and those claims made all the difference. The borrower, who had ignored the lawsuit filed by the first lawyer, quickly agreed to settle. He paid the full amount in a reasonable time. We were delighted. I should note that my friend lives in San Jose and conducted all meetings with Ms Steuer remotely. That worked fine.
