Ms. Johnson joined Capetola & Divins, P.C. (formerly the Law Office of Anthony A. Capetola) in 2008 and has represented clients through all stages of matrimonial, family and criminal law. Prior to joining the firm Ms. Capetola Johnson has experience working for the Nassau County Attorneys Office as a Deputy County Attorney where she concentrated on mental health law.
In addition to being a senior associate at Capetola & Divins, P.C., Ms. Johnson was duly elected to serve the Town of Oyster Bay, as Councilwoman in 2013. Presently, she is serving a second term and is the senior most Councilperson serving on the Oyster Bay Town Board.
Ms. Johnson is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association, the Nassau County Woman’s Bar Association, and the Suffolk County Bar Association. Some of the prestigious awards Michele has been honored to receive include The Lindolfo Casagrande Community Service Award for 2018, The Isabel R. Dodd Award for Advocacy of Sea Cliff and The North Shore in 2018, The Lincoln Day Award, 2017, and the Hofstra Law’s Center for Children, Families and the Law, Outstanding Woman in the Law for 2016.
