Before attending law school, Nick achieved a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) degree with a major in Political Studies from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. With a desire to pursue both law school and travel the world, Nick then decided to attend law school at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia.

After graduating from law school, Nick was selected to article at the Durham Community Legal Clinic where he gained experience advocating on behalf of low-income clients at various administrative boards and tribunals. Following his call to the Bar of Ontario in 2015, Nick obtained employment at a family law firm in Barrie, Ontario. Nick recently returned to the Durham Region and is very excited to join the McMurter team where his practice focuses primarily on real estate law, wills and estate administration.

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
