In his personal injury practice, Mr. Goldsborough has recently pursued damage claims on behalf of clients suffering mild traumatic brain injuries (MTBI) and represented a client injured in an auto accident who had developed reflex sympathetic dystrophy, a painful and lifelong neurological disorder. This matter resolved with a 1.63 million dollar uninsured arbitration verdict.*
Mr. Goldsborough settled has pursued product liability lawsuits brought on behalf of catastrophically injured clients against General Motors Corporation. In one, he brought a claim on the lack of crashworthiness of the "A" pillar of the GM vehicle which caused the paralysis. The settlement terms are confidential at the Defendant's insistence.
In another, Mr. Goldsborough settled a product liability lawsuit brought on behalf of a client rendered paralyzed due to the lack of a lap shoulder harness being provided in the rear seat of the General Motors vehicle. The terms of settlement are confidential at the Defendant's insistence.
Recently, Mr. Goldsborough brought a sexual harassment claim against a municipality that resulted in a $100,000 settlement on behalf of his client.*
Mr. Goldsborough handles disciplinary cases involving professional licenses. In a noteworthy case he defended a dentist accused of narcotics trafficking by the FBI and whose professional license was subjected to disciplinary action by the State of Vermont. At the conclusion of the administrative case, which restored the professional license, no criminal charges were brought.
Mr. Goldsborough's criminal law practice includes defending clients in U.S. District Court and courts throughout the State of Vermont involving white collar crime, narcotics trafficking, immigration offenses, firearm violations, and driving while intoxicated arrests.
Mr. Goldsborough's practice also includes handling difficult divorce cases and substantial workers’ compensation claims.
