After completing his undergraduate studies, Scott decided to continue his education at Indiana University's Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Scott is a member of the Order of the Coif, which is an organization that recognizes law school graduates who completed their education with the highest level of academic integrity; along with being an alumni of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. Scott was also recognized in the Indiana University Law Journal in 1996-1997.
