A Passion for Justice
Shane believes in a strong work ethic, a passion for service, and putting clients’ needs first.
“Clients should expect someone who works tirelessly to not only get them the justice they deserve, but who will also be a steadfast friend to them in an exceptionally difficult time,” he said.
Shane has a personal connection to mesothelioma and knows the toll it can take on a family. It’s just one of many qualities that make him a trusted advocate in the search for justice.
“I decided to become an attorney in order to make the world a better place,” he said. “I hope to help put everyone on more equal footing and build a system of fairness and justice in the community.”
During law school, Shane worked as an extern for the Hon. Charles P. Kocoras of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in Chicago and as an intern in the homicide and domestic violence divisions for the Clark County District Attorney’s Office in Las Vegas.
Education and Community Involvement
Shane received a B.A. in Psychology and a B.S. in Justice Systems from Truman State University in 2016. He received his J.D. from The University of Iowa College of Law in 2019. While a law student, Shane served as the articles editor for the Iowa Law Review and as president of the Sports Law Society. He also was the assistant baseball coach for the University of Iowa Hawkeyes, including the 2017 Big Ten Championship team.
Shane is chairman of the Andrew Range Memorial Golf Tournament, which in its first two years raised more than $36,000 in scholarships for students at Triad High School, Truman State University, and Southern Illinois University School of Law.
