Prior to joining Hanson Crawford Crum, Sophia practiced at a boutique family law firm in Emeryville, California. She has represented clients in San Mateo, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Alameda, and Contra Costa counties and appears in public courthouses as well as in front of private judges. Sophia is trained to advise and/or represent clients throughout all phases of the dissolution process, including mediation, negotiated settlements, and litigation. She represents clients on issues involving spousal support, child support, business valuations, reimbursements claims, property division and child custody. One of her primary areas of focus has been child custody. Her dedication to child custody issues stems from understanding the toll separation and/or divorce has on children, particularly the feeling of not having a voice in custody and visitation decisions. In dissolution and paternity actions, advocating for the best interest of the child(ren) is a primary concern. She currently provides pro bono services to self-represented family law litigants through Alameda and San Mateo County’s Day of Court volunteer attorney program.- Law Firm Info
