Mr. Rogers’ practice emphasizes a broad range of employment/labor-law related issues, including wrongful discharge, wage and hour, restrictive covenants and employment agreements, employee relations, collective bargaining/unfair labor practices, employment discrimination/harassment and civil rights in both the public and private sectors. His trial practice has primarily included civil rights and employment-related litigation at administrative, trial and appellate levels. He has represented businesses, non-profit entities and governmental clients, including state agencies, county and city governments, and fire and school districts. He also has represented significant numbers of individual employees in employment/labor law-related issues and litigation and in regulatory licensing matters.

Mr. Rogers is the Editor-in-Chief of the ARIZONA EMPLOYMENT LAW HANDBOOK. He has been selected as one of the “Southwest Super Lawyers” by Southwest Super Lawyers Magazine for having attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement and as one of “Arizona’s Finest Lawyers” for demonstrated record of high achievement, excellent legal skills and a well-earned reputation for integrity (azfinestlawyers.org).. Since 1996 he has been included in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers by Martindale-Hubble (“AV” Rating). He also was the recipient of the Chair’s First Annual “Member of the Year” Award, awarded in 2011 by the Arizona State Bar’s Employment and Labor Law Section for his sustained and significant contributions to the Section, including his service as Past Chairman of the Section and his continued contributions as Editor-in-Chief of the ARIZONA EMPLOYMENT LAW HANDBOOK.

Mr. Rogers has authored a book, The Right Moves When Taking Personnel Actions, and numerous papers and continuing legal education seminar articles. He has been since 1995, and continues to be, the Editor-in-Chief and Co-Author of the ARIZONA EMPLOYMENT LAW HANDBOOK, a two volume publication by the State Bar of Arizona. He also has been a Co-Author of the State Bar’s ARIZONA APPELLATE HANDBOOK and a Co-Author of ARIZONA & FEDERAL EMPLOYMENT LAW MANUAL, published by the American Chamber of Commerce, and was a Committee Co-Chair and co-drafter of the “Employment Law Instructions” of the REVISED ARIZONA JURY INSTRUCTIONS (RAJI (CIVIL) 4th). He is a member of the American Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section, the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel, the National Employment Lawyers Association, the National and Arizona Council(s) of School Attorneys and has served on the Arizona Chamber of Commerce’s Employee Relations Committee. He is Vice President of the Arizona Employment Lawyers Association, also serving on its legislative committee. He received both his undergraduate degree and law degree (cum laude) from the George Washington University and is admitted to practice in Arizona and Virginia, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
