Timothy J. McLaughlin is an associate in Holland & Knight's Boston office and a member of the firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice. Mr. McLaughlin is experienced with maritime law, construction law and white collar criminal defense, and has had second-chair experience in arbitration proceedings conducting the direct and cross-examinations of factual and expert witnesses. He has also handled pro bono matters before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and in Massachusetts superior court litigating prisoners’ rights claims.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. McLaughlin served on active duty in the United States Marine Corps from 2000 through 2006. While attending law school, Mr. McLaughlin studied abroad as a prosecution intern working at the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in its war crimes section. He is active in the community, serving as the president of the board of directors of Shelter Legal Services, which is a Boston-based organization that provides pro bono legal services to veterans and the homeless.
