Valeska's area of focus is Estate Planning and Probate, including elder law. Valeska enjoys helping her clients plan for their present and future in a manner that best suits the client's unique circumstances and wishes. She has experience in all aspects of the planning and preservation of client's estates, including wills, power of attorney documents, trust creation and administration, business planning, farm succession planning, complex estate planning, planning for protection of minors, Medicaid planning, guardianships and conservatorships. She assists clients in formal and informal probates, from small estate administration to large, taxable estates. She helps clients and Trust departments in the creation of and administration of trusts. She works closely with Vogel's litigation department when there are disputed matters involving estates, probates or trusts.
Valeska is admitted to practice in North Dakota, Minnesota and Montana. She is a board member of the Red River Valley Estate Planning Council and a former member of the Northwest Estate Planning Council.
Originally from Mora, Minnesota, Valeska received her undergraduate degree from Bemidji State University and her Juris Doctor from the University of North Dakota School of Law. She is married to David Hermanson, and they have two children.
