I have been practicing law in Orlando since 1988. I started with the largest firm in Orlando, and now I enjoy working as a small firm so that I can work directly with all of my clients. After working with large firms for many years, I started my own practice to help individuals and families with their legal needs. I specialize in bankruptcy, personal injury and professional malpractice. While working for large firms, I worked with insurance companies and large corporations. Now, I find it so much more satisfying helping people who really need a good lawyer to overcome a challenging legal obstacle, such as recovering from the financial distress caused by an injury from an accident, or after being neglected or taken advantage of by a legal professional.
Why am I a lawyer? Because I like to help people. I get the most satisfaction knowing that I have helped someone get out of a real legal jam, whether it is dealing with a life changing accident, or helping a family get a fresh start with their finances. I have been practicing as a lawyer for 23 years. During that time, I have worked hard to get the training and credentials that make me an excellent attorney for my clients. I am board certified as a Civil Trial Lawyer, the highest recognition by the Florida Bar as a specialist in the area of trial law. I have been given a rating of AV by the Martindale-Hubble peer review system, which reflects the opinion of lawyers and judges in my legal community. I started my legal career working for large corporations and insurance companies. Now I help "the little guy" when they need the skills and experience of a talented lawyer.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
