    Hired Law firm 2022
Douglas Michaels made a mistake in my case telling me that he would send an affidavit for an important time sensitive thing. During the case he didn't follow up quickly and I had to keep asking his boss if Douglas was doing his job. Douglas had more excuses than results. He was always "sick" or "family emergency." Give me a break. Douglas will have people sign agreements to absolve himself from any wrongdoing after he gets his fee.

Douglas Michaels from Levin and Glasser needs to be disbarred. I was telling him my situation and this so call attorney yawns. Right when I'm talking! I thought okay maybe he's had a rough day so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Bad choice. Over the next weeks, Douglas did not update me. The only way I could get updated was by arranging a meeting with him in person and he was late, and to top it off he didn't even remember the details. I had to repeat myself. To add insult to, he continued yawning when I was talking and closing his eyes and making faces. Levin and Glasser needs to review their human resources to see if they are hiring the right people. Douglas Michaels is very bad representation.

    Consulted Law firm 2021
Douglas Michaels is terrible lawyer. Speaking to him was the worst decision I could have possibly make. Douglas always talked on his phone even when I was talk and he made me feel very uncomfortable because he interrupts and never listens. I am the customer. Lawyers job is to listen. Douglas Michaels behave like in kindergarten, looking at his cell phone when other people are trying to say. I would not recommend this rude person who makes people feel misterable.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
