The mission of Bruneman Law P.C. is to provide clients with quality legal services to achieve the results they desire.
Steven Bruneman has been a trial lawyer since 1982 when he served for three years as an Assistant District Attorney in Midland County, Texas. In 1985, he entered private practice handling family law cases and eventually joined the law firm of Koons Fuller in 1999. In the mid 2000's, he and two of his Koons Fuller partners formed the law firm of Bruneman, Lake & Griffin specializing in family law. Steve's practice became BrunemanLaw, PC in 2010.
Family Law requires more from an attorney than just strong legal skills. Bruneman deeply understands the psychological dynamics involved in family law cases and he utilizes this knowledge in every case he handles. Bruneman's goal is to help move his clients through the emotional aspect of the case in order to focus on the bigger picture, that being resolving difficult issues and moving on with their lives.
Family law attorneys should work to minimize conflict. Divorce law was not intended to create a battleground to resolve issues yet many attorneys intentionally engage in those tactics. Regardless of how cases are handled, they all eventually come to an end; and ending them with the least amount of destruction is what Bruneman always seeks to accomplish. While he is always prepared to do battle and excels at it, Bruneman's vast experience has taught him that battling in this arena should be avoided if at all possible.
Bruneman's experience and reputation rank him among the top family law attorneys in Texas.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
