    Recommends this Law firm
a number of years ago Mr. Colucci gave me a very impressive and quick defense in an originally a felony matter and settled as a misdemeanor. His fees were honest and I benefitted his being a friend of the court. I strongly recommend his hiring as a defense attorney.

They lied to me told me they were experienced in my case when in turn my case was the first they had ever had, he had a Lawyer by the name of Jeannie Winkler working on my case, she is in prison now for ripping off her clients I was one of them. My case was suppose to be contingency and she and him put a 9,000.00 judgement on me when on everyday I had off I was in his office doing my own paperwork I was offered a settlement he told me not to take it. When I should have. He had no clue what to do with my case in court they list the most important thing i won with the EEOC they didn't show up for court so it was not allowed to be used in my case. I found this out years later. Would I refer him never he was all show and I was left standing there no job and was made the Victim all over again it taking me all of this time to build up the courage to write this. They would be a 0 in my book he hired a women that is in prison now! Not so bright for a good lawyer.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
