My firm handles real estate and business matters, and is based in Dallas, Texas. My firm also serves all of Texas. Since its formation in 1995, my firm has handled commercial real estate matters, including construction and development, acquisitions and sales, leasing, financing and refinancing. I also am experienced in business formation and business transactions, including entity formation, on-going advice and contract assistance, ordinary and complex arrangements and transactions, as well as the purchase, sale, merger or dissolution of businesses.

Before I started my own firm, I practiced with two large law firms for more than ten years. That experience allows me to provide my clients with big firm experience. Being a sole practitioner, I am able to provide experienced legal assistance at reasonable, small firm prices. But, unlike many other small law firms, I provide my services on a fixed-fee basis, so there are no surprises. The flexibility I provide with respect to my fees is a key factor in fostering relationships with my clients. In fact, a good portion of my business comes from referrals from satisfied clients and the growing network of colleagues and friends.

My philosophy is to provide my clients with the best legal services possible in a cost-effective way. Because commercial real estate and modern business law is a document-intensive practice, I use the latest technology and software to provide my clients with services in a professional, efficient manner.

As a sole practitioner, I am better able to provide my clients with timely, personal attention. I am responsive to my clients' needs and return phone calls promptly. In part because of the good working relationships I have with other attorneys, I am able to get things done quickly and efficiently.

I strive to maintain long lasting relationships with all of my clients. I have found that good working relationships are essential to identifying and addressing their legal needs. I listen to and communicate with them in order to provide them with the best legal representation possible. One of the most rewarding aspects of my practice is helping my clients achieve their goals and objectives in a cost effective manner.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
