Mike Brundage has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1986. During the first 31 years as a lawyer, Mike practiced law in large law firms and flourished as a business litigator and creditor's rights and bankruptcy specialist. Mike was the practice group leader of the bankruptcy and creditors rights practice area of one of the most prestigious law firms in the State of Florida for many years and later led the Bankruptcy Practice group at a large southeast regional law firm located in Tampa. Over the years, Mike's practice has been concentrated in the areas of business bankruptcy, creditors' rights litigation (including receiverships, proceedings supplementary and fraudulent transfer litigation), commercial litigation (including non-compete litigation and partnership/shareholder disputes), along with real estate and business transactions.
Since founding Brundage Law, P.A. in April 2017, Mike has continued to build his practice in business law- both transactions and litigation, commercial litigation, real estate law-both transactions and litigation, construction litigation, corporate reorganizations, and estate planning. Utilizing Mike's background and experience, Brundage Law, P.A. provides clients with a sophisticated, experienced, and successful approach on a more personal basis at a very reasonable cost. Mike continues to represent numerous medium-sized private companies, financial institutions, real estate developers, transportation companies, private lenders, franchisees and individuals in state and federal courts throughout the State of Florida and in negotiating as well as drafting real estate and business transactions.
Mike is active in the local community, serving on numerous charitable and civic boards, and is presently the Chairman of the Board of the Safety Harbor Chamber of Commerce. Mike is active in the Business Law section of the Florida Bar where he has worked on legislation initiatives associated with the Uniform Commercial Code and in the American Bankruptcy Institute through which Mike has been involved as a presenter and speaker on a variety of subjects.
Mike has enjoyed an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell* for over 25 years, has been selected by the Best Lawyers in America in business litigation and has been named a Super Lawyer for Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor law and business litigation for over 15 years.
Mike has published articles on various topics and is a frequent seminar speaker on topics associated with his practice. Mike's hobbies include stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, boating, fishing and disc golf. Mike and his wife, parents of three (3) adult sons, are longtime members of Espiritu Santo Catholic Church.
