Mr. Wix concentrates his trial practice on commercial and tort litigation, with a particular emphasis on defending product liability lawsuits. Mr. Wix focuses his product liability practice on representing multinational corporations in the consumer product, food, pharmaceutical and medical device industries. He has successfully defended manufacturers involved in class actions and multi-district mass tort claims alleging defective products. He also represents manufacturers and other businesses in commercial disputes, particularly in breach of contract, breach of warranty and consumer fraud claims. Mr. Wix is an experienced trial lawyer, having been lead counsel on five jury verdict trials and one bench trial.
In addition to his trial practice, Mr. Wix routinely advises corporations confronting major crises, such as product recalls and food borne illness outbreaks. Mr. Wix has coordinated and advised clients on numerous national and global product recalls involving consumer and food products. As part of his work on these high profile matters, Mr. Wix works with clients on developing appropriate litigation strategies, interacting with governmental and regulatory agencies and responding to media inquiries. Mr. Wix also assists clients in reducing potential product liability exposure by developing appropriate product recall plans and protocols and reviewing the adequacy of product warnings and labels.
