For over 30 years, attorney William A. Simon, a partner in the law firm of McGarry & Simon, has handled all aspects of estate planning, probate, estate administration, estate litigation and real estate for clients in New York City, Westchester and Long Island.
Prospective clients will receive a free initial consultation to determine how McGarry & Simon can fulfill their legal needs. If the need is for estate planning, Mr. Simon will carefully assess the prospective client’s situation and develop a strategy for the distribution of his or her property that minimizes or eliminates estate taxes and makes the eventual administration of the client’s estate far less difficult for the family and other beneficiaries. He will help the client decide whether a will or a living trust is the most appropriate vehicle for protecting and passing on the client’s property, and will prepare a power of attorney, health care proxy and living will, if desired. Before work begins, Mr. Simon and the client will agree on a reasonable flat fee for the estate planning services.
Mr. Simon is also thoroughly experienced in the probate of wills and administration of estates in New York, as well as in representing clients in will contests and other litigation that sometimes occurs when a family member dies.
Mr. Simon advises also advises individuals and businesses on business formation, contracts and real estate issues.
