You obviously don't understand the constitution or the laws governing your police. They are required, as public servants, to identify themselves when asked. They handled the situation with the auditors with utter disregard to their rights. They should be brought up for administrative discipline. Educate yourself and your city employees. I hope the lawsuit brought against your town teaches you all a lesson. I don't know why you are so anti-freedom, but you shouldn't be that way.

Reading your response to the pooler police departments abuse of power was such a disappointment. You clearly do not stand for the constitution and the rights of the people in this country. Standing with tyrants like the pooler police department shows to me you?re in it for the money and not the constitution. What a shame.

I read your evaluation of the audit on pooler police station about the chief and sergeant with interest. So you claim they done nothing wrong and your an experienced attorney? I'd say watch it again with an open mind and maybe read the thousands of comments that disagree with you. Or is it that you've been payed a lot of money to lie? Just like you claimed Sean Reyes does this for money reasons, sounds like you are doing the same Steven.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
