Bob Gibney practices complex secured financings for leading commercial banks and other lenders. His practice encompasses major commercial and residential real estate sales, acquisitions, and development as well as bank and savings and loan regulatory matters and workouts and restructurings.
Bob has substantial experience in creditor representations involving secured and unsecured financings that include major debt restructures, note sales, transfers in lieu of foreclosure and foreclosures involving real estate collateral, and disposition of foreclosed properties and related loans to facilitate. He has experience handling all types of commercial and residential real estate, including development and related entitlements. His work spans a broad range of financings (secured and unsecured), including those connected with leveraged acquisitions, letter of credit-backed facilities, participating debt and mezzanine financings, off-balance sheet financings with pass-through entities, multi bank credits, and tax-exempt bond financings. He also represents large commercial developers and investors as well as borrowers on a wide range of term loan and revolving credit facilities, asset transfers, and commercial development. In addition, Bob advises bank clients on regulatory issues, including the licensing of foreign bank offices in California under state and federal law.
Bob is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of California, and the Bar Association of San Francisco.
