James P. Carrabine is one of the founding partners of the law firm of Carrabine & Reardon Co., LPA, where he concentrates his practice in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, motor vehicle accidents, including truck and motorcycle accidents, medical malpractice, product liability, insurance law and mediation. Since becoming a lawyer in 1984, Mr. Carrabine has handled over 3,000 cases involving serious injuries and wrongful deaths. Mr. Carrabine has extensive experience as a litigator and as a trial lawyer and has conducted numerous jury trials as lead trial counsel in personal injury cases from 1984 through the present time. In addition to representing both injured Plaintiffs and Defendants in personal injury litigation, Mr. Carrabine is frequently hired by other personal injury lawyers throughout the State of Ohio to serve as a private mediator in all types of personal injury cases, including but not limited to, wrongful death cases, medical malpractice cases, product liability cases and workplace injuries. Mr. Carrabine has also frequently presented lectures to other lawyers on various topics involving personal injury/wrongful death litigation as part of Continuing Legal Education programs and Bar Association presentations in Cuyahoga County, Lake County and Geauga County.
Jim is a member of the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Foundation, the Lake County Bar Association, the Geauga County Bar Association, the American Association of Justice, the Irish American Law Society of Cleveland and the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, Ohio Chapter. He graduated from Cleveland Cathedral Latin in 1974 with First Honors and subsequently earned a B.S. degree, magna cum laude, from John Carroll University in 1978. He obtained his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1984. In that same year, he was admitted to practice in the State of Ohio and was subsequently admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
