He is a former City of Warren Zoning Board of Appeals Member. Having served over four years in that capacity, Mr. Sophiea stepped down from that position when he was appointed Magistrate of the 37th District Court in Warren, Michigan.
For the past 20 years, Mr. Sophiea's practice has been concentrated in areas of personal bankruptcy and collection defense. He has successfully and compassionately guided thousands of financially distressed individuals and families through very difficult times in their lives.
