In February 2019, while walking to Hilbert Theater in downtown Indianapolis for a symphony concert, I was struck by an automobile. My hip was fractured. (The story has a happy ending; my hip was surgically repaired the next day and by the end of 2019 I was walking up to 20 miles a week.)
