Marvin H. Olinde was born and raised in New Iberia, Louisiana, where she attended and graduated from Mt. Carmel High School in 1970 and from Louisiana State University in 1974, with a Bachelor of Science in business administration. She received her Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center in 1978, where she was a member of the Law Review. She was admitted to practice in Louisiana in 1978. After law school, she worked as an assistant attorney general for the state of Louisiana and then as an assistant district attorney for East Baton Rouge Parish. For the past 20 years, she worked as a trial attorney and managing attorney for Liberty Mutual Insurance Group. She is certified by the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. She has extensive civil and criminal trial experience. Marvin is a partner with the firm, and her current areas of practice include property and casualty defense.
