I had an charge on my FBI background check that was from 20 years ago when I was a juvenile that should not have been there. If you are ever summonsed to appear for a probable cause or clerk magistrate hearing (often called a show cause hearing) you would be very foolish to go it alone without an experienced attorney. I received a summons for a clerk magistrate’s hearing for making criminal threats (although I never directly threatened anyone). Philip Arnel will walk you through every step of the process and his calm demeanor and dedication to personally defend you (no paralegals or associates) will give you the best chance of winning your case. If you are successful in the clerk magistrate’s hearing the incident will not go on your record and it will be as if it never happened. If you go it alone and lose the hearing, the incident will go on your CORI and may even appear in the local paper. Being cheap in a case like this can be very expensive for you personally and professionally. In my specific case, Phil was able to cite a legal precedent that persuaded the police and clerk magistrate that no crime ever occurred.

I have been going through a divorce where my ex attempted to use a 209A as a tool for leverage in our custody proceedings. Attorney Arnel was extremely professional and walked me through the process. Even with the added complication of Covid-19 forcing the hearing to take place via conference call Attorney Arnel was able to show that the 209A was not legitimate and it was terminated.
