Attorney, Curt Bogen, right next to the McKinley House in Niles, Ohio…. After a 12 year marriage, I relocated to Ohio from out of state in order to separate from my wife. Knowing my wife, still living in our out of state home, was attempting to target both my Veteran Disability and also my federal retirement, I began seeking help. Within an hour, I was sitting in Mr. Bogen’s office. Within 3 months I had a drivers license with an address, changed residency, then filed for a seperation in Ohio. Mr. Bogen converted the Ohio filing to a divorce after I had 6 months of residency, but had already had her served in her respective state before she could file anything against me there. She tried but failed as Ohio maintained jurisdiction. Without all the fluff, Curt Bogen took the weight of the world off my shoulders and put it on his. His genuine concern for my situation and willingness to formulate a reasonable and legally solid case designed to protect my greatest interests was executed with expert calculation and precision. A consummate professional with a long, extraordinary record of successful litigation with complex divorce and interstate domestic cases, Mr. Bogen lives up to his reputation. He says what he means and means what he says. If you don’t believe it, I can assure you he is equipped, ready, and willing to prove it to you. And yes, my divorce is final, full retirements intact, and fair and equitable division of the marital home after sale. If you are looking for an above board, uniquely skilled, and highly adaptable Family Lawyer prepared to go the distance for you, look no further than Curt Bogen.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
