In 1986, she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee with a concentration in Finance. In 1990, she received a Bachelor of Law cum laude from John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois.
Ms. Brazil was active in several organizations while studying law, including the Law Review, the Gavel Society, Phi Delta Phi, and Student Government. In addition, she received the Who's Who Among American Law Students 10th Edition award for Outstanding Achievement in the Study of Law. In 1991, after relocating back to Wisconsin, she successfully completed the state's bar examination. Since 1993, she has focused solely on family law, but she has been an attorney since 1991.
Ms. Brazil primarily serves clients in the counties of Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, and Ozaukee. In addition to her work in family law, she is a trained mediator who graduated from the University of Milwaukee's Mediation Program in 2011. She also provides services as a collaborative lawyer, a field in which she has received specialized training.
In addition to the Inns of Court, the Family Law Society, the Justinian Society, and the Wisconsin Club, Ms. Brazil has been a member of several organizations. She has volunteered at the Milwaukee County Courthouse's Self Help Legal Clinic and in the field of domestic abuse. She has been listed on the Milwaukee Magazine Super Lawyers list. For the National Business Institute, she has both written materials and given workshops for other lawyers on the topic of family law.
