Julia is a recognized leader in the legal community. She served as the founding president of the Oregon Asian Pacific American Bar Association (OAPABA) in 2009 - 2010. Julia is a former board member of Oregon Women Lawyers (OWLS) and an active member of OWLS and the Federal Bar Association of Oregon. She has advised U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden, U.S. Sen. Jeff Merkley, former Governor Ted Kulongoski, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon on judicial appointments.
