Background:

Glenn W. Cunningham began his legal career in 1990 in the internationally renowned law firm of Fulbright & Jaworski, L.L.P. (now Norton, Rose, Fulbright, L.L.P.) in Houston, Texas. In 1994, Glenn became a named-principal in the firm Boston & Cunningham, P.C., before joining Mayor, Day, Caldwell & Keeton, L.L.P. (now Andrews Kurth, L.L.P.) in Houston, Texas to strengthen the firm's professional negligence section in 1997.
In 2001, the San Antonio, Texas law firm of Maloney & Maloney, P.C. brought Glenn to San Antonio to head the firm's "nursing home negligence" section. In 2004, Glenn formed the Law Offices of Glenn W. Cunningham, where his mission to make a difference continues.
Success:
Glenn W. Cunningham has distinguished himself as a trial lawyer. He has achieved verdicts and settlements totaling tens of millions of dollars; results that not only provide relief for victims and their families, but deter future unacceptable behavior.
Glenn W. Cunningham credits much of his success as a trial lawyer to the 10 years that he spent as a defense attorney. During the years that Glenn defended doctors and hospitals, he learned the ins-and-outs of the health care system, the tricks that doctors, hospitals and their lawyers use to defend meritorious claims, where hospitals hide documents and relevant records, and how healthcare professionals cover for each other. Glenn utilizes this "inside " knowledge to advantage when prosecuting healthcare professionals for their negligence.
Professional Recognition:
Glenn W. Cunningham was selected as one of the Top 50 Super Lawyers in Central and West Texas, named one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in Texas by The National Trial Lawyers, and ranked as a Top Medical Malpractice Lawyer in San Antonio by S.A. Scene. Glenn has an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating through Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating, and a Superb "10.0" rating from AVVO, also the highest rating.
Glenn W. Cunningham is on the Executive Committee of The National Trial Lawyers and Texas is a Past President of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association as well as the San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association. Glenn is honored to serve in leadership positions of such fine organizations -- organizations that fight daily to protect the rights of Texans to access the courthouse to secure justice.
Glenn W. Cunningham is recognized by colleagues as a scholar, in addition to being a talented trial lawyer. Beginning as a student at Baylor Law School, where he was the Managing Editor of the Baylor Law Review, and continuing to the present, Glenn has published papers and articles on relevant legal topics, and is a frequent lecturer at statewide conferences.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
