CASES WE HANDLE
I have been an attorney for almost three decades and during this time I have handled mostly employment law cases..
During my career we have represented many hard-working employees. Some of our clients held minimum wage positions. Some clients are CEO's making seven-figures. They all have one thing in common and that is they will all receive the same "white glove" treatment in our office. When you hire our office you will have direct access to your lawyers. Throughout my career I have helped my clients through their tough times. Not being paid properly, being wrongfully terminated or harassed and/or discriminated against in the workplace can be devastating. I understand that and I'm here to help.
Over the years we have obtained millions upon millions of dollars for our firm's clients. We have assisted thousands of employees in getting paid the proper wages they are owed, individually and through class action cases Employers may try to cut corners and misclassify employees as salaried or independent contractors, when they are trying to get around California's wage and hour laws. Employers often take advantage of employees by not paying overtime or not providing appropriate meal or rest periods. We have assisted employees in get compensated for mileage when they are using their cars for work purposes.
We have helped change policies in the workplace when our clients have been discriminated against, harassed or wrongfully terminated based on sex, age, race, medical condition, mental condition, religion, gender, sexual orientation, sexual identity, physical disability... The same goes for clients who have complained about illegal practices in the workplace and found themselves in the unemployment line or retaliated against.
We have helped hundreds of deaf and hard of hearing individuals get the reasonable accommodations they need in the workplace, at schools, hospitals and other business settings.
Finally, we have assisted many small/medium employers who do not have insurance coverage with issues that arise with their employees. It's a good idea to have an attorney look at issues through the lens of an attorney who primarily represents employees. I think this perspective is a big advantage for my employer clients.
MY PHILOSOPHY
I believe it's important to try to get along with your opponent. You don't have to be mean and nasty to represent your client's best interest. In fact, in my opinion it's the opposite.
I'm picky when it comes to accepting cases. I accept about one of every fifty cases that call me. It's important for me to take cases I believe in and I think I can make a difference on.
DO YOUR HOMEWORK
Before hiring the right attorney, you owe it to yourself to find the right person who will act in your best interest. Don't take my word for it. Do online research and see what hundreds of people like you have said about the work we do.
SOCIALLY:
When I'm not working I enjoy watching sports, including most of our local professional teams, and spending weekends by the beach. I'm happily married and have a great family.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
