    Hired Attorney 2019-2020
This Attorney was the most self serving untalented lawyer I and my family have ever met . thomas pietrantonio Was a court appointed attorney that was entrusted with the job of seeing if my father was a victim of elder abuse. The court appointed him to gather information and report his findings back to the court. He started in May of 2019 and continued to drag out the proceedings till November of 2020 when my father finally died . Mr thomas pietrantonio upset my family and especially my 95 year old father until one week before my dad passed away. I told thomas pietrantonio that my dad was in hospice care at home and was dying and still this attorney if I can use that word insisted on bothering my father on his death bed ! Why what was the Purpose I could find none . He had 18 months and all finical information as well meetings in court ,before court ,in law offices ,as well as home interviews and countless phone call mostly with me . This lawyer could see this was a false case of elder abuse but he kept it going to line his empty pockets and turn a blind eye to justice so he could profit from it. It’s the only reason the case went on for so long and my father was his victim. The upset of this false lawsuit and the help thomas pietrantonio gave to the person that brought this case hurt my dying father and I believe caused a 95 year older man in a wheelchair and with heart problems undue stress. What kind of professional does this I will tell you what kind . A very unsuccessful and unprofessional lawyer. He gets his jobs from a revolving list of attorneys who don’t have any clients because of the quality of their work . Essentially he relies on welfare provided by the court to get his only work . His actual office location is a Taylor shop and a pottery shop and that’s not very professional. When I asked him to tell me about where he got his law degree and what his hourly fee was he walked off in a huff and did not answer the questions. He has a permanent chip on his shoulder and even had the nerve to gossip to my family member in the hallway of Supreme Court about me . His opinion of me was shameful on his part and I believe he is prejudice .I am a member of a minority group and I believe he did such a bad job probably because of who I am and his prejudices he could have stopped this case after 4 months but choose to continue for his own benefit. What kind of professional does that , a unqualified and Bitter non professional . I gave him all the finical records everything and weeks later he complained that he could not understand it but he still changed us to pay for his hours of time looking at it. I personally paid this man thousands of dollars only because the court forced me and all my family to pay. It was the biggest waste of time and the really sad part is lawyers like thomas pietrantonio should not be allowed to practice law . Do yourself and your family a favor never hire this person and if a court appoints him to a case your involved in, never talk to him it’s just for his benefit he’s a vulture picking at the dead and dying while pretending he’s a good person. This man is a shameful excuse for a human being. My dad died a few days after his last contact with this attorney I believe not only did he rob me and my family of thousands of dollars but he robbed my dad of the right to a peaceful death . Can you get lower than that . thomas pietrantonio Graduated from catholic university in DC more than 30 years ago. I hope they have confession in the school because what he did to me and my family and especially my dying father is a sin. Never work with this attorney in any capacity walk away save yourself and the people you love .I sincerely hope this review helps people see who this attorney really is ! How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
