Overview
Dawn Hewitt joined the firm in the summer of 2004. For the past 20 years, Ms. Hewitt has focused her practice on navigating the complexities of public and private disability benefits, Medicaid appeals, special needs trusts and long-term care planning. Dawn also has extensive experience in Guardianships and Conservatorships and other probate matters. She serves clients throughout Colorado and clients appointed by local courts.
Besides her thriving law practice, Ms. Hewitt is a member of the Denver-based Skyline Chorus chapter of Sweet Adelines International. She resides in Highlands Ranch with her husband Chris.

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
