Buddy is a native of South Texas, having been born in Brownsville, Texas. After attaining a degree in Business Administration – Finance from the University of Texas at Austin, he attended St. Mary's University School of Law to attain his law degree in 2001. From 2001 to 2006, Buddy worked for a prominent law firm in McAllen, Texas and to this day still enjoys a good working relationship with that firm by assisting them with real estate related matters on an of counsel basis. In 2006, Buddy formed The Law Office of John P. Franke, P.C. on South Padre Island and has developed representative clients including financial institutions, real estate developers, condominium and property owners associations, contractors and numerous individuals and other small businesses.
