Hired Law firm 2019-2021This law firm is just... Horrible. I have a case stemming back to 2019. I feel is not being worked on. I truly don't know what's going on. I call for updates and after a week or two of calling I might get a text message. I haven't received a court date notification or anything. I am absolutely not kept in the loop. I don't even know if the Law firm is doing what they say in the text messages I do receive. I am so upset and worried that I made a horrible decision by choosing them. I advise that anyone considering choosing them as representation, please think long and Hard about what type of service that you expect. Of course I could be wrong about the firm. And ultimately it could be whomever is assigned to working on my case. Either way I am super disappointed. My case is still open as of 5/23/2021.

Hired Law firm 2001I used this firm some time ago. Took my case, & then dropped it without reason when they found out they were "in over there head". Terrible service, communication, & lack of competence.

Consulted Law firm 2019The receptionist was very rude to me when I called for a consultation. She just told me to call back. Didn’t ask my name or my phone number.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
