Gregory S. Lindquist's civil heath care fraud and abuse enforcement experience provides him with a unique understanding of a wide range of regulatory compliance and enforcement issues related to Federal health care programs. Prior to joining Polsinelli, Gregory served as Associate Counsel in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Counsel to the Inspector General (HHS OIG) in Washington, D.C. In this capacity, Gregory was individually responsible for drafting and negotiating civil settlement agreements, Corporate Integrity Agreements, HHS OIG subpoenas, and derivative exclusion appeal motions and briefs.
At HHS OIG, Gregory collaborated regularly with the U.S. Department of Justice, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. He played a key role in settling numerous cases arising under the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, EMTALA, and civil monetary penalty laws. Notably, Gregory was a signatory to the comprehensive Corporate Integrity Agreements with Abbott Laboratories, Inc. and Par Pharmaceutical, Inc. Gregory's broad health care enforcement experience, coupled with his dual Juris Doctorate/Master of Heath Administration degree from the nation's top-ranked health law program, enables him to identify potential regulatory enforcement risks and provide strategic compliance advice to clients.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
