The Law Offices of Ben Yeroushalmi & COVID-19:
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is far-reaching and profound, infiltrating the lives and day-to-day of nearly everyone. In such times of unprecedented uncertainty, the Law Offices of Ben Yeroushalmi seeks to be resource our communities can rely on. In order to play our roles in flattening the curve, we believe in responsibly following recommendations from the World Heath Organization (WHO), Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and cooperating with local health regulations. The pandemic has created a fluid situation that calls for adaptability and attentiveness from all.
This is why we find it critical to: first, proactively guard the safety of our staff, clients, and our loved ones, and second, to reaffirm our dedication to protecting the elderly, a demographic that is now more vulnerable than before.
Our Firm’s Approach:
As our communities follow the government’s recommendations to mitigate the impact of the virus, many industries have temporarily paused in-office operations. In the midst of this pandemic, our firm is dedicated not only to the safety of our employees, clients, and loved ones, but also to providing service of the highest caliber.
Consequently, to ensure the safety of our staff by complying with our government’s Stay at Home Order, our firm minimized our in-office functions and transitioned to working remotely. When a visit to the office is necessary, we diligently sanitize all incoming documents and mail and handle everything in the office with gloves. Our staff remains updated with recent COVID-19 recommendations and our firm’s cases by proactively using the many digital resources available to us.
Our Firm’s Commitment to Serve the Vulnerable:
Our office foresaw the need to access our systems remotely and familiarized ourselves with Zoom, Google Hangout, What’s App, and phone-conferencing to stay connected with each other and our clients. We preserve the same collaborative and communicative relationships with one another by working actively on our cases then meeting through video-conferencing. Despite our office’s physical closure, our firm is open and fully operational. We intend to remain faithful to our clients and to prospective clients, not ceasing our operations. Our staff regularly consult with prospective clients through free consultations, remaining responsive and attentive to each caller.
Working in elder abuse litigation during a period when those 65 years and older and long-term care facility residents are disproportionately endangered, has further reinforced our commitment to the job. We firmly believe long-term care facilities, such as nursing homes and assisted living facilities—already understaffed, with alarmingly deficient standards of care, prior to the pandemic—are disturbingly unprepared for what is to come during the pandemic. In a time when the California Department of Public Health released an all facilities letter mandating the admission of COVID-19 positive patients into nursing homes, we believe we should be especially alert and mobilized. We intend to be just that; we intend to seek justice for the elderly and vulnerable.
Our team pride ourselves not only in our exceptional quality of service and results, but also in our dedication to the rights of the elderly. We hold in upmost regard, every human’s right to dignity and a high quality of life, regardless of age, regardless of COVID-19. And we are here for you. If you think you or a loved one is a victim of elder abuse or neglect, please call us at: 888-606-3453 or 310-623-1926.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
