A graduate of Touro Law School and the Domestic Violence Clinic wherein he secured orders of protection for battered women in the Family Court, Suffolk County, Mr. Fried has focused his practice solely in the field of Matrimonial and Family Law since 1997. Mr. Fried began his legal career working as an associate for the Park Avenue New York City Matrimonial boutique firm, Bender & Katz, LLP which later became Bender & Rosenthal, LLP, handling high end clients in matters pertaining to divorce, equitable distribution, orders of protection and appeal litigation.

In March 2003, Mr. Fried began working as an associate for Barrocas & Rieger, LLP in Garden City, New York once again exclusively focused in the area of Matrimonial and Family Law litigation. In 2007, Mr. Fried was named a partner of the firm. Since joining Barrocas & Rieger in 2003, Mr. Fried has participated in numerous hearings and trials in Nassau County, Suffolk County and Kings County pertaining to custody, equitable distribution, child support and maintenance. In addition to the practice of law, Mr. Fried has volunteered his time and expertise to the law students of Touro Law Center for the annual Bainbridge Moot Court Competition at Touro Law Center from 2008-2010 as well as 2012 and 2014.

In addition, Mr. Fried has also been a Judge for a negotiation skills competition at Touro Law Center both in 2013 and 2014.

In March 2014, Mr. Fried was selected as a "barrister" to the exclusive New York Family Law American Inn of Court.

While Mr. Fried has the patience, understanding and work ethic necessary to resolve extremely complex Matrimonial Law issues, if litigation is necessary, Mr. Fried has vast knowledge of the law and trial experience to protect his client's interests.
