    Hired Law firm 2002
    Recommends this Law firm
I definitely didn’t realize just how excellent of an attorney that I had at the time. Now that I’ve had to work with another attorney I see how great of an attorney he was and I wish I had remembered that prior to hiring the attorney I'm working with. Don't get me wrong my current attorney is doing a good job but the level of personal attention that was given to me by Kerry is non existent with attorney’s from what I've seen in the past year with 3 different attorneys all working for me. I know its not that much has changed since then its that Kerry went above and beyond and didnt reflect in his bill at all. Finding an attorney to go above the normal has proven impossible let alone to put in extra effort and not charge for it. Thank You Kerry Weger I only wish I could have found the paperwork you did for me sooner before I hired the other attorney’s. I couldn’t remember your last name when i needed to hire an attorney then of course 3 months after I hire someone else i come across the paperwork with your last name on it. Thats how it usually goes but next time i need an attorney I’ll be calling you.

When viewing a listing, consider the state advertising restrictions to which lawyers and law firms must adhere, as well as our FindLaw.com Legal Directory disclaimer. Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
