Abbey also conducts real estate closings and oversees issuance of title insurance commitments and policies. Abbey earned both her B.A. in Political Science and her J.D. from the University of Louisville. Abbey is licensed in Kentucky and Indiana and is an associate member of the Virginia State Bar.

Abbey lives in Louisville with her husband, Neil, and their two daughters. She is a born and raised Louisville Cardinals fan. Abbey is the chair of the Louisville Bar Association Real Estate Section, a former chair of its Young Lawyers Section, a member of the Leadership Southern Indiana class of 2020, and a 2019 member of the Southern Indiana Business Twenty Under 40. Abbey's current and recent volunteer activities include Co-Chairing the Trager Family JCC Early Learning Center Snowflake Shoppe and membership on the Sacred Heart Academy Alumnae Board, the Pi Beta Phi Kentucky Alpha Chapter Alumnae Advisory Committee, the Louisville Youth Choir board of directors, and mentoring through the Reimage program with KentuckianaWorks.
