A native of Amite, Louisiana, Jeffrey P. Boyd graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Mississippi in 1990. In 1991, he completed his Masters of Business Administration also at the University of Mississippi. He then attended the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated with his Juris Doctor in 1994.
Mr. Boyd began his law career with the insurance defense firm of Leitner, Williams, Dooley & Napolitan in its Chattanooga, Tennessee office. In 1997, he left to become a partner in his own firm. This firm was known as Allen, Kopet & Boyd, PLLC.
Mr. Boyd is a Partner at Boren & Boyd. He is admitted to practice before all state courts in Alabama and Tennessee as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western districts of Tennessee. He is also a member of the Alabama and Tennessee Bar Associations.
Jeff is married to Amy Cummings Boyd and also has four children, Mattie, Kalyn, J.P. and Miller. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and watching college football especially the Ole Miss Rebels. Jeff and his family are members of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Jackson.
