Los Angeles Personal Injury Lawyer
Overview
When I litigate a case, I think about how I would feel if the harm happened to someone in my family, particularly my daughter or husband. That motivates me in the fight to make my clients whole and to obtain the most favorable results possible for real people whose lives have been shattered by others' wrongdoing...

When I litigate a case, I think about how I would feel if the harm happened to someone in my family, particularly my daughter or husband. That motivates me in the fight to make my clients whole and to obtain the most favorable results possible for real people whose lives have been shattered by others' wrongdoing.
At Ramey Law, I am able to indulge my passion to help plaintiffs who suffer because of catastrophic personal injury, premises liability, products liability, wrongful death, school bullying, or sexual abuse. Here, I have also been able to diversify my experience to include construction defect cases as part of my responsibilities as Managing Attorney for the firm.
While I love helping people of all ages, as a mother I am particularly compassionate toward children who are victims of school bullying or sexual abuse. They need a vigorous and knowledgeable advocate to ensure they are educated in a safe and respectful environment. I do that for them because I want to be a good role model for my daughter and future generations of women who strive to excel in a career they are passionate about, and to make my husband proud. That puts a big smile on my face.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
