Jennifer Burgess is an experienced litigator who has represented clients throughout Nassau, Suffolk and New York City. She received her Juris Doctorate from St. John's University School of Law and began her legal career in the area of Commercial Insurance Defense. After several years in the Personal Injury and Insurance Defense fields, she found her passion in Matrimonial and Family Law and practices in all aspects of divorce, child custody, child support and complex equitable distribution matters.

Ms. Burgess' knowledge of the intricacies and complexities involved in divorce and custody situations enables her to be a caring, yet compelling advocate for clients in guiding them through the difficulties involved.

As the Founder of a non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure for FSH Muscular Dystrophy, Ms. Burgess demonstrated her ambition to help others. The organization she founded funds scientific research studies at major U.S. universities. She is a member of an international consortium of researchers and business leaders working to find a cure for FSHD, as well as an advocate for patients.
