Ms. Gomez focuses her trial practice in the areas of civil litigation and family law, representing both individuals and companies. Her pragmatic and result-driven approach are some of the many reason clients love her.
Ms. Gomez has what it takes to get optimal results, someone who will research all the legal and tactical angles seeking an advantage on a case, assertive in court, the ability to concisely explain things to a client in a way that makes sense and overall doing what it takes to achieve a favorable outcome.
Ms. Gomez’s civil litigation practice includes breach of contract, real estate litigation, and fraud claims. Aside from civil litigation, Ms. Gomez has many years of experience in family law. Ms. Gomez’s current family law practice involves complex family cases. Complex family law cases include high-conflict cases, cases requiring a trial, or high asset cases that involve deciphering the complexities of a business during a divorce. The skills she has gained as a civil litigation attorney allow her to better serve complex family law cases that often involve heavy written motion work, extensive discovery, depositions, business evaluations, working with experts or cases that simply need a skilled trial attorney.
Although Ms. Gomez is sharp, concise and not timid when it comes to court, Ms. Gomez also understands the importance of negotiation and mediation when appropriate. Being able to properly evaluate a case to determine what the best strategy is and when to execute that strategy differentiates a good attorney from a great one. Ms. Gomez will work with you and her team to put together a strategy to better serve your needs without sacrificing results.
Ms. Gomez obtained her Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law, and her undergraduate degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she earned a B.A. in Psychology and Criminal Justice. Throughout her studies, she had the opportunity to study abroad and interned at the Ministry of Labor for the Chilean government. While attending law school, Ms. Gomez interned at the South County Family Law Facilitator's Office and the Employee Rights Center assisting with wage and hours claims as well as appearing at hearings for unemployment appeals.
Ms. Gomez is currently a member of the San Diego County Bar Association and San Diego La Raza. She has also been a mentor for the Hermanitas Mentorship Program through Mana of San Diego.
Ms. Gomez is fluent in both English and Spanish.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
