Deana Allen is a Shareholder at Beatty & Wozniak, P.C., in Denver, Colorado and a recipient of the "Top Women in Energy" 2019 award. She practices in the firm's Oil & Gas Title and Transactional Groups. She is licensed to practice in Texas, Colorado and North Dakota. Her practice is devoted exclusively to the oil and gas industry and encompasses all areas of acquisition and divestiture, including representation of borrowers and lenders in finance transactions secured by oil and gas assets; title review and rendering of related opinions; due diligence; and review and negotiation of leases, joint operating agreements, farmouts, and development agreements. Previously, she served as Associate General Counsel for a wholly owned subsidiary of a Fortune 250 company in Dallas where her practice encompassed issues related to finance, transactions, real property, title issues and regulatory compliance. She is a regular speaker at legal and industry group events and author of numerous articles addressing issues affecting the oil and gas industry.
Deana graduated from the University of Kansas Business School with a M.B.A. and the University of Kansas Law School with her J.D. She is a member of the Oil, Gas and Energy Resources, Real Property, and Probate and Trust Law Sections of the State Bar of Texas, the Natural Resources & Energy Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association, the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation, the Denver Association of Oil and Gas Title Attorneys, and the Denver and Permian Associations of Petroleum Landmen

- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
