The effects of an arrest can be far-reaching and long-lasting. From our law offices in Wayland, Perry and Mount Morris, New York, our attorney at Sciarrino & Sciarrino, P.C., provides criminal law representation. Committed to helping people navigate the justice system, we aggressively advocate on behalf of those we represent from a free initial consultation until their cases are resolved.
Since our law offices were founded in 1963, we have assisted people living in the Letchworth State Park and Rochester areas, as well as in Allegany, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe and Wyoming counties, with a range of complex legal issues. Our attorney has represented clients in cases involving matters such as speeding tickets, DUI and DWI, drug charges, assault and battery and murder.
Crafting our strategies based on their specific circumstances and legal objectives, we work to obtain acquittals or full dismissals of the charges against our clients whenever possible. Experienced in negotiations, as well as at trial, our attorney has also successfully pleaded down charges on behalf of those we represent. We work closely with people, helping them to understand their legal situations and their options.
At Sciarrino & Sciarrino, P.C., we understand the emotional toll that criminal charges may take on people and on their families. Working to alleviate as much of their stress and fear as we are able during such difficult times, our law offices keep clients informed of the status of their cases, and we guide them throughout each phase of the process. For the convenience of those we represent, we accept credit cards.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
