Such clients range from those needing basic estate planning documents to those requiring special needs planning, other specific planning concerns complex planning techniques as well as ranging from those with moderate estates to high net worth individuals and families. Planning meetings include reviewing available options to determine the best overall fit for the client in light of their goals and creating a cohesive plan. Marilyn drafts planning documents with a focus on minimizing estate taxes, avoiding probate, protecting assets from long term care costs, reducing potential liability in the case of rental properties, and having assets pass in accordance with clients' wishes. Marilyn also researches various topics regarding Medicaid, tax, and estate planning matters.

Marilyn began her career as a Certified Public Accountant and traveled internationally with Coopers & Lybrand. She then focused on taxation for regulated investment companies and, while working full-time, earned her Master of Science in Taxation degree at Northeastern University and her Juris Doctorate degree from Suffolk University Law School. Marilyn has worked as a Tax Attorney at various international accounting firms and as an Investment Advisor. for Merrill Lynch and Edward Jones to gain a broader understanding of investments, taxes, estate planning, and financial planning strategies. In 2016, Marilyn became licensed as a Certified Financial Planner™ and provides her clients a comprehensive approach to their overall estate planning needs. Marilyn also has experience in estate administration as well as the preparation of various types of tax returns.
