As an attorney in the Eckberg Lammers Banking & Finance and Business groups, Tom Loonan serves as one of the firm’s lead contractual attorneys. Tom regularly works with both individual and business clients assisting in business formation and business development. Tom also has experience advising institutions and businesses regarding regulations and issues regarding compliance with state and federal law. His litigation experience includes both Plaintiff and Defense representation in a variety of civil disputes including property, consumer, and contract law.
Tom takes the most pleasure out of his ability to assist clients in driving economic development. He enjoys getting to know his clients and works diligently to build strong relationships in order to effectively help his clients achieve their goals. Tom joined Eckberg Lammers from a large law firm in Minneapolis where he represented creditors, both advising them on regulations and compliance concerns and defending them in litigation across the country.
In addition to his work in our Banking & Finance and Business Law groups, Tom also assists clients with commercial real estate needs.
Tom lives in St. Paul with his wife Melissa, and enjoys spending time with her walking around the city and experiencing the new adventures they find whether it be a new brewery, a local food joint, or just an untraveled path home. Tom also finds time to spend with family and relishes his role as uncle for all his nieces and nephews.
