Wyatt A. Kirk has experience in family law, juvenile law, public policy, insurance law, personal injury law, and tax law. Wyatt was born in the Four Corners area and grew up in a variety of locations. After attending high school in the U.S. Virgin Islands and Virginia, his interest in serving underrepresented populations led him to study sociology, with an emphasis on law, at Brigham Young University. During his undergraduate years, Wyatt completed internships at the Utah Legislature and at a law firm. He volunteered extensively as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and as a recruiter and student director for that organization. After graduation, Wyatt was employed as a caseworker for the Utah Division of Child and Family Services. The enlightening court experiences involving child welfare and protection inspired him to pursue a career in law.
Wyatt is an honor graduate of the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, where he was awarded fellowships in public policy and tax law and received the Outstanding Achievement Award in Family Law. As a public policy fellow, Wyatt published research focusing on how providing legal counsel for all juvenile offenders leads to positive outcomes for both children and the community. Wyatt was selected to be the student director of the Family Law Pro Bono Clinic, where he successfully assisted hundreds of clients. Wyatt served as vice president of the student litigation society and was a valued member of the S.J. Quinney Negotiation Team. As an attorney focused on family law and litigation, Wyatt is committed to working zealously to represent and protect the interests of his clients.
